Colorectum Cancer
With the changes in lifestyles and eating habits, the number of cases of colorectal cancer has increased in recent years and has become the second common cancer in Hong Kong. According to the latest Hong Kong Cancer Registry statistics, there were 5,556 new cases of colorectal cancer in 2019 and 2,174 people died in the same year.

Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Hong Kong and ranks third among all cancers. The latest information shows that there were more than 4,793 new cases of breast cancer in Hong Kong and a total of 859 women died of this disease in 2019. In 2019, there were about 737 new breast cancers in situ. Breast carcinoma in situ is non-invasive and early stage of breast cancer. The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed and treated, the better the chance of recovery.

Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is the fourth most common cancer in Hong Kong. The number of new cases of prostate cancer in Hong Kong has increased by 70.6% in the past decade, from 1,484 in 2009 to 2,532 in 2019. The median age of patients with prostate cancer is 70 years old. The early symptoms are very similar to those of prostate hypertrophy, diagnostic investigation is required before appropriate treatment by a doctor.

Liver Cancer
Among the most common cancers in Hong Kong, liver cancer ranks fifth and is the No. 3 cancer killer in Hong Kong. In 2019, there were 1,876 new cases and 1,530 deaths according to the statistics. The number of liver cancer patients in male population was significantly higher than that of females, and the ratio was 3.4 to 1. The number of new cases maintained at a steady level in the past few years.
